OUTLINE

A gas reference cell is a product in which an inert gas or an active gas is sealed in various glass containers. Yamamura Photonics has advanced glass processing technology and highly accurate gas-filling pressure control technology. Therefore we can provide optimal gas reference cells for equipment that requires high hermeticity and high reliability. We have high-precision encapsulation technology, and we can adjust an encapsulation pressure in units of 133Pa (1Torr). Our cells maintain stable performance for a long time by pretreatment that removes impurities and outgases in the glass container before gas encapsulation.
We are also focusing on the development of next-generation products, and are enthusiastically working toward further miniaturization of gas reference cells.

FEATURES

Integrated production from the molding of glass containers to gas filling

We carry out integrated production of all processes of glass container molding, evacuation, cleaning, baking, and gas filling at our factory. As for the enclosed gas, most gases other than toxic gas and hydrogen chloride gas can be used.

Two types of standard shapes

There are two standard shapes, cylindrical and square. For optical windows, it also supports tilted windows (tilt processing) to prevent return light.
Cylindrical shape: φ5 to 30 mm, length 15 (inside) to around 30 mm
Square type: □ 3 to 20 mm

Custom design

We can provide customized designs according to your requests. For example, we can change the length and thickness of glass containers, or propose special shapes.
Also, we can process silica glass, Pyrex, and various other types of glass. We can handle everything from trial production to mass production.

Development products for the next generation

Recently, there is a growing need for miniaturization in gas reference cell applications. Yamamura Photonics is focusing on this and taking on the challenge of manufacturing ultra-small cell containers of about 2 mm and developing new technologies for gas filling, exhaust, and chip-off.
