OUTLINE

"Glass to Metal Seal (GTMS)" is the core technology of Yamamura Photonics. GTMS is a technology that realizes hermetic sealing by joining glass and metal via an oxide film. Yamamura's GTMS products are used for application require a high degree of vacuum, such as railroad vacuum breakers, medical X-ray tubes, endoscope parts, and glass electrode tubes for ozonizers. We have various methods of glass welding and joining, for example, ring seals, disc seals, and terminal embeddings.

FEATURES

High hermeticity due to oxide film formation

In the GTMS products, glasses and metals are chemically bonded to achieve high hermeticity by forming an oxide film at the bonding interface. In addition, we realize stable hermeticity by controlling the formation state of the oxide film.

Made to order by craftsmen

Our experienced craftsmen manufacture GTMS products. Therefore, we can provide products with shapes hard to mechanize or require high processing technology. Please feel free to contact us if you have any problems in processing GTMS products.

Various sizes of products

We support processing of various sizes, from small products with a diameter of several mm such as airtight terminals to large products with a diameter of around 250 mm.

Stable appearance quality

Yamamura Photonics has an original glass composition, and by utilizing its excellent melting technology, it is possible to provide products with stable dimensions and appearance quality despite human processing.
