OUTLINE

In the fused lens caps, a glass lense is directly welded to metal can. We have developed fused lens caps to replace lens caps and reduce costs. Therefore there is no need for precision-polished lenses and no need for low melting point glass. Although the coupling efficiency is inferior to that of ball lens caps, they have a better light-collecting ability than flat window caps, so they have been widely used in light-receiving element packages.

FEATURES

Excellent hermeticity / High reliability

Although they are the parts that directly join glass lenses and metal cans, they achieve high hermeticity and high reliability.
Hermeticity:under 1×10-9Pa・m 3/s
Reliability: Pass the Temperature Cycling Test (-55℃/10min⇔+125℃/10min ×2000cyc) and the Damp Heat Test (+85℃, 85％ ×2000h)

Contributes to miniaturization

By the advantage of the direct sealing method that does not use sealing glass, we can provide products with a small diameter or low profile.
Ex) Mini type: Can outer diameter is φ1.96 mm, lens effective diameter is φ0.8 mm

Custom design support

We use in-house glass as the lens material, and we can design lens curvature. Also, we support custom designs of various optical coatings depending on the wavelength range used and the purpose.

Yamamura Photonics has built mass production systems including inspections by automatic inspection machines. As a result, our products have stable quality from small quantity to mass production.
